A Force for Nature: Lucy Braun 

A Force for Nature: Lucy Braun (2018) is a one-hour documentary that explores the life and legacies of E. Lucy Braun (1889 – 1971), one of the foremost botanists and ecologists in American history. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Lucy Braun was a trailblazer in the emerging science of plant ecology, and a leader in the early conservation movement. Braun helped to preserve natural spaces in Ohio and Kentucky, including the Edge of Appalachia Preserve System in Adams County, Ohio. The documentary, along with its companion website and educational materials, brings the story of this extraordinary woman to life. Sacred Spaces of Greater Cincinnati (2008) highlights a treasure of 19th and 20th century architecture and art in Greater Cincinnati. Exploring the area’s historic churches, temples and mosques, this one-hour program reveals the story of the settling and migration of the region’s religious and ethnic groups. Architectural historians, preservationists, and clergy inform viewers about the design, art and architecture of each building and its place in the broader context of Greater Cincinnati history. Sacred Spaces of Greater Cincinnati was a Voyageur Media Group production.

Eden Park: Cincinnati’s Garden of Eden

Eden Park: Cincinnati’s Garden of Eden (2010) highlights one of Cincinnati’s oldest and most loved parks. With a rich history tracing back to Nicholas Longworth, the program makes evident why Eden Park has always been one of the city’s premiere gathering places. The park provides panoramic views of the Ohio River, is home to numerous important sculptures and monuments, and is the site of some of the community’s most revered institutions: Cincinnati Art Museum, Playhouse in the Park, Seasongood Pavilion, and Krohn Conservatory. The program was a follow-up to Cincinnati Parks: Emeralds in the Crown. Both programs were productions of CET.

Featuring footage from nearly every park in the 5000-acre system, the one-hour documentary explores over 200 years of history and a variety of current events in the city’s award-winning parks. Residents, park employees and historians all contribute to this story about the importance of these green spaces in community life.
